Shannon Moultrie for Fayetteville City Council
For more than 23 years, Shannon Moultrie has proudly called Fayetteville, Georgia home. Her children grew up in Fayetteville’s exceptional schools, and her deep roots in the community have shaped her unwavering commitment to public service.
Ms. Moultrie is the daughter of a United States Air Force serviceman who passed away while serving his country, a legacy that taught her courage, duty, and the value of sacrifice. Despite enduring a painful and abusive childhood, she rose above adversity and turned her story into one of triumph. She chronicled her journey in a published book and went on to graduate from Emory University School of Law, one of the nation’s top institutions.
After law school, Shannon Moultrie worked with several prominent law firms in Atlanta, serving as a consultant, practice administrator, and operations manager. Her work gave her hands-on experience in problem-solving, leadership, and navigating complex systems, skills she’s now ready to bring to city government.
For over 15 years, Shannon has also been a committed supporter of Fayetteville’s local domestic violence shelter, standing with survivors and helping to provide critical resources and support to those in need.
When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, Ms. Moultrie became a foster mother to provide a safe and loving home for minors in crisis. Her personal and professional journey is marked by service, resilience, and a fierce commitment to others.
Now, she’s running for Fayetteville City Council to fight for families, advocate for safe and thriving communities, and ensure every resident has a voice in the city’s future. Her vision: a Fayetteville that is safe, inclusive, transparent, and filled with opportunity for all.
This campaign is powered by everyday people who care: neighbours, friends, and families ready to make a difference. Whether you have a few hours or a few ideas, your time and talent can help us win.
